These are the terms on which The Last Light provides its Christmas lighting service. By accepting a quote from us, you agree to them. They are written in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, call us before you book.
Quotes and pricing
- Every home is quoted individually. The prices on our website are starting points, not fixed prices.
- A quote is based on the size of your home and the areas you ask us to light. If you change the scope after the quote, the price changes with it.
- A quote is valid for 30 days from the date we send it.
- The offer of 10% off applies to first installations booked and confirmed on or before November 15 of the current season.
What is included
- Commercial-grade lighting fitted to your home.
- Installation on an agreed date.
- Maintenance through the season. If a bulb or strand we installed stops working, we repair or replace it at no extra charge.
- Removal at the end of the season on an agreed date.
- Labelling and storage of your lighting in a sealed container between seasons.
What is not included
Repairs needed because of damage caused by other people, by work done on your home after our installation, or by extreme weather may be quoted separately. Electricity to run the lights is supplied by you. We will tell you before we do any work that is not covered.
Your lighting in later seasons
From your second season, you are renting the lighting system from us at a lower recurring price. The lighting remains the property of The Last Light and is stored by us between seasons. If you decide not to continue, the lighting is not handed over and no storage fee is owed.
Access and safety
You agree to give us safe access to your property and a working outdoor power outlet on the agreed dates. We may reschedule an installation or removal when weather makes roof work unsafe, and we will let you know as early as we can.
Booking and cancellation
A booking is confirmed when you accept the quote and we agree on an installation date. If you need to cancel or move a date, tell us as early as possible. Where lighting has already been cut and fitted for your home, we may charge for those materials.
Our responsibility
We carry out every installation and removal with care. Our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the current season. This does not limit any rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario.
